Meet The Staff

Katie

aka katiebell

The creator and owner of ShadowKissed.net – You’ll find me mostly on twitter and behind the scenes of the site.

Age: 23
Occupation: Full time Uni Student!
Favorite VA book: Shadow Kiss! Can you tell?
Favorite Movie: Dirty Dancing
Favorite Band: The Beatles
Bio: Like most VA fans I migrated from the Twilight fandom, only to find not much of anything happening in the VA fandom. Setting out at once (okay, so maybe like 6 months later..) to rectify this I created ShadowKissed.net. In my free time when I’m not studying or working on the site I love to read books, play Age of Empires or go on road trips!

Laura

aka LoraKissed

I’m owner, in charge of news posts, and lots of other cool stuff!

Age: 24
Favorite VA book: Frostbite, followed closely by Shadow Kiss
Favorite Movie: Anything laugh-out-loud funny!
Favorite Bands: Incubus / Jimmy Eat World
Bio:
Much like Katie, I stumbled apon the Vampire Academy series after a friend had persistently said ‘I absolutely HAD to’ read them. I loved them, and since then have tried to get everyone I know to read them! Once hearing that Katie had started up ShadowKissed.net, I asked her -sheepishly (absolutely-excited-with-fingers-crossed, hoping-like-anything-that-she-wouldn’t-say-no) if I could help out with a few things on the site – I’m absolutely loving it! Bringing my love for the series and Richelle to everyone!

In my spare time, you’ll find me on my Mac playing Sims, watching a good few movies with my husband, or seeing friends and family!

Amy

I’m a Blogger and a regular Podcaster!

Age: 18
Favorite VA Book: Shadowkissed
Favorite Movie: 10 Things I Hate About You
Favorite Bands: Jonas Brothers
Bio: I’m a 17 year old girl who was born in Africa and raised in Georgia. I did high school in Africa and now I’m in college in Texas. I am a very bubbly and optimistic person and I love to have a good time! I can be really random and wacky at times and I’m quick to laugh and giggle! I am apparently way to optimistic and I live in a fairytale world where everything is perfect. I can be very sarcastic and I’ve got very strong opinions! ;)

Renée

aka raeshantel

I am the Graphic Designer

Age: 20
Favorite VA Book: Spirit Bound
Favorite Movie: Alice In Wonderland [Tim Burton]
Favorite Bands: Avenged Sevenfold / Taylor Swift
Bio: After reading Twilight, I swore off vampire books. I was over it. I had a friend who wasn’t, however, and I bought her the first three Vampire Academy books for her birthday. They were sitting in my room for months, taunting me. I went out one day and found them again. I took a chance and bought my own set – and as soon as I read them, I was hooked.
I’m a writer of both fanfiction and original fiction; I’m an amateur photographer; I dabble in graphic design and web design.

Nate

I’m a Podcaster, and reviewer for Stake Out reviews.

Age: 17
Occupation: Full-time Student
Favourite VA Book: Spirit Bound
Favourite Movie: Twilight
Bio: After Reading Twilight I fell in love with anything that had to do with Vampires, then I found Vampire Academy, and just had to read them and I fell in love with them right at the bat. There is not many guys I know that have read the Vampire Academy and want to have anything to do with it – but I loved Vampire Academy and everything that has to do with it, Thats why I’m here! In my free time when I’m not reading, I’m playing call of duty, watching movies, hanging out with friends, and on facebook.

Bailey

aka RosieHathaway

I’m in charge of news sourcing, and the important Dimitri’s Dictum!

Age: 16 (and the youngest staffer)!
Occupation: Full-time High School and College Student
Favorite VA Book: Its pretty close between Last Sacrifice and Shadow Kiss, but Last Sacrifice wins
Favorite movie: OMG thats hard… The Social Network or The Roommate. I love all kinds of movies though (especially comedy)
Favorite Bands: Paramore, 2AM Club, Cute Is What We Aim For, etc.
Bio: I would have never even noticed the Vampire Academy Series had my best friend not told me about it. We love to read books and then trade off with each other, and one day she told me that I just HAD to read VA. So I started it, and finished the whole first book in a day. I was hooked. Since then, I’ve read plenty of good books, but none that match up with VA. I go to high school and college at the same time, which is a little complicated, but hey, it is what it is. I write books in my free time, when I’m not hanging out with my friends or practicing for my dream job: being a pastry chef – and an author on the side, of course!
