Richelle’s New Series!

Hot off the press indeed – Richelle Mead has dropped another amazing bomb this week – Her new Adult Series!

After tweeting to everyone “Hot off the presses: the sale of my next paranormal/sci-fi adult novel, GAMEBOARD OF THE GODS” (See tweet here), we dived over to her blog to find out the amazing news of her new adult paranormal series is to be called Age of the X, and the first book, Gameboard of the Gods, has been picked up by Dystel & Goderich

EDIT : The series has been picked up for two books, but Richelle is hoping for more!.

Richelle talks about the book and goes on about what we should expect, on her blog..

It’ll have a lot of the same wacky humor, romantic and mythological intrigue, and occasional cliffhanger that you’ve come to expect from Richelle Mead novels. I’m excited to write it. I’m not sure what genre to call it. The world has gone through its dystopian phase and is in a much prettier, more advanced era–one that fears religion or anything mystical.

Congratulations Richelle from everyone here at ShadowKissed.net!

So, what do you think? Have you read Richelle’s other Adult series, are you looking forward to this new one?

Have You Got What It Takes?

There’s a new fan project happening, some if not all of you will have heard of it through facebook, it’s called ‘The Vampire Academy Parody’.

Allara, who lives in Brisbane,  has starting by placing an open Casting Call through StarNow, looking for Leads, Extras and Film Crew to help out with the Parody. She had a few exclusive words with us…

“The Vampire Academy Paordy is made for the fans of Richelle Meads incrediable YA series, and right now all were really willing to say about it is that it’s going to be something you can really sink your teeth into.

The casting call is for 2 main reasons, first is that we want people who are local to the area, and secondly is that we want to stay as true to the books and or Graphic novel as much as physically possible, the casting call gives us the chance to gain interest from Actors and Actress’s in the Brisbane/Gold Coast region and scout out who with think has the perfect look.”
- Allara on The Vampire Academy Parody

We will be interviewing Allara soon about the parody… but in the meantime.. Do you have what it takes to be in the VA Parody? Find out and apply now through StarNow

Does she like Sydrian, too?

We sent out a tweet after our facebook page readers decided that ‘Sydrian’ was the favorite celeb/date name for if when Sydney and Adrian get together, and we were lucky enough to get a reply from Richelle herself!

Do you think she’s hoping for Sydrian too?

The Golden Lily Description!

Richelle Mead tweeted that the Golden Lily Description is now live!

Check it out below, and also find it on the Official Bloodlines Website under Book Info, and then Click on The Golden Lily Book.

The Golden Lily Description:

Sydney Sage is an Alchemist, one of a group of humans who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the worlds of humans and vampires. They protect vampire secrets—and human lives.

Sydney would love to go to college, but instead, she’s been sent into hiding at a posh boarding school in Palm Springs, California–tasked with protecting Moroi princess Jill Dragomir from assassins who want to throw the Moroi court into civil war. Formerly in disgrace, Sydney is now praised for her loyalty and obedience, and held up as the model of an exemplary Alchemist.

But the closer she grows to Jill, Eddie, and especially Adrian, the more she finds herself questioning her age–old Alchemist beliefs, her idea of family, and the sense of what it means to truly belong. Her world becomes even more complicated when magical experiments show Sydney may hold the key to prevent becoming Strigoi—the fiercest vampires, the ones who don’t die. But it’s her fear of being just that—special, magical, powerful—that scares her more than anything. Equally daunting is her new romance with Brayden, a cute, brainy guy who seems to be her match in every way. Yet, as perfect as he seems, Sydney finds herself being drawn to someone else—someone forbidden to her.

When a shocking secret threatens to tear the vampire world apart, Sydney’s loyalties are suddenly tested more than ever before. She wonders how she’s supposed to strike a balance between the principles and dogmas she’s been taught, and what her instincts are now telling her.

Should she trust the Alchemists—or her heart?
