Since Rose Hathaway is our favorite Vampire Academy fierce female, we thought we’d spend some time investigating Zoey Deutch, who will be bringing her to life on the big screen, Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters.

Zoey attended Oakwood School, CA, as well as The Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where she majored in Theatre.
She is the daughter of actress Lea Thompson (who played Marty’s mum, Lorraine, in the Back to the Future movies)
and director Howard Deutch (director to Melrose Place, Pretty in Pink, The Whole Ten Yards, The Replacements).
She has a sister, Madelyn (Who is also an actress, and singer).
Zoey is best known for her role as Juliet Martin, the troubled daughter of Andrew Martin, in the mystery drama thriller TV Show Ringer.
Zoey’s nickname is Zobo.
Was cast alongside her mother & sister in the movie Mayor Cupcake, 2011.

look i don’t know about her acting but she looks less exotic than i pictured Rose as, and way less bad ass, hopefully some movie magic will help with those…

people should stop judging her by the way she looks, they don’t even know about her acting, she can actually act. Her new movie is coming soon and if she was a bad actress why the producers would pick her? stop complaining WE finally have a ROSE.

It’s kind of weird. I think Lucy Fry’s face looks more like I would expect Rose’s face to look, and Zoey Deutch’s face looks like I would expect Lissa to look.

I agree with everyone that Zoey’s body doesn’t fit the book’s description of Rose, though.

To all those who are saying “Don’t judge before the movie comes out” – what are we SUPPOSED to do? Sit here and take it? People want their opinions heard. To some, this is a very important series and people don’t want it being messed up. Sure, I’ll wait, but that doesn’t mean I’m not pissed off that Rose isn’t pictured the way I saw her. I pictured her more exotic, more sexy – less “Disney”. Good for her acting chops, I’m sure she’s got them. And yes, she is drop dead gorgeous and I could honestly see her playing a role similar to Rose Hathaway, but I could see her in *that* role – lacking in sex appeal, sass, bad assery and anything else.

She’s great, don’t get me wrong. But a little part of everyone is a little crushed at the casting choice. The only happen one here is what’s-her-face… Zoey. She’d be the only *truly* happy one at getting the part that could be on par with The Hunger Games’ Jennifer Lawrence in fame and recognition. But please, to those who are telling us to be quiet and leave everyone alone: 1) Consider your grammar because no one will take you seriously with not-too-good-English on an English forum, 2) If English isn’t your first language, try proofreading your comment and 3) People have opinions, last I checked message boards were for expression in the most respectful way possible.

So unless you’re just trolling everyone, please leave the opinions to the people because seeing your comments on EVERY SINGLE POST is similar to shoving someone’s religion in everyone’s face. And we all know the comparison for that.

So thanks for telling us to wait and see, but saying it more than once is just driving everyone bonkers.

wow there are some rude people here. there is NO such actor or actress who could fit the exact look to what ANY book character is described as. you could have an actor look closely like a character but then their acting SUCKS and vise versa. actors got judged in the crappy twilight and hungers games with look, weight, height, etc. so to end this…you can be upset and pissed but it still won’t get you what you want, if people are gonna be jerks then simply don’t watch the movie.
